Overview
Nancy Chen is a PhD candidate in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Her research looks at how parasites evolve to exploit and adapt to their hosts’ circadian rhythms. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Quantitative Sciences from Emory University. Originally from China, Nancy came to the U.S. at age 14 for school. She speaks English, Mandarin, and Japanese, and has always loved learning new languages from friends with different cultural backgrounds. For her, learning a language is not only about communication, but also a rewarding way to connect with people and learn about their cultures. She is passionate about making learning a new language fun, comfortable, and a memorable experience for everyone.
